My name is Susanlily Barclay. I have been a practicing certified hypnotherapist since 1998.  I live and work in a small, rural Hispanic village named Polvadera in Socorro County, New Mexico. When translated into English, Polvadera roughly means, "dust blowing in the wind" and Socorro means, "to render aid or help."

To me, living in the old farming village of Polvadera, means I have lots of experience with winds that blow all year round. Dust is constantly swirling in the air and whatever order, or expectation of order, I have is quickly made irrelevant by the frequent dusty winds that re-arrange all my carefully laid plans.  Sometimes, when I tear open a packet of seeds to plant, even before I can put a single seed in the ground, all the little seeds are lifted right out of my hand and blown far away to someone else's yard.  So, to live and thrive in this place requires developing a ready sense of humor and a good supply of resiliency.  Besides becoming more self-sufficient, living here constantly "Re-Minds" me to make good use of ever-present opportunities to offer and receive help from family, neighbors, friends, and even from strangers.   These life lessons are especially helpful now when each of us needs to be creatively flexible, to finding ways to accomplish our personal goals in spite of difficult conditions. It's time to be nimble and agile-minded.

My role, as your hypnotherapist, is to work in partnership with you, helping you to successfully bring about the positive life changes you want to experience as your new reality.  These changes can be anything ranging from keeping productive, helping your immune system maintain resistance to covid-19 infection, or even to experiencing this time as one of great opportunity for discovering new ways of being more self-healing, self-reliant and creatively successful.
As a wise, ancient Chinese text "Re-Minds" us, "Out of Chaos, Brilliant Stars are Born." Regardless of the context in which you find yourself, or the specific changes you want to make, my job is always the same....to help you achieve your personal goals.

The Wondrous Journey of the Mind that is Willing to See

As a certified hypnotherapist with a rich background in psychology and in life skills, I am well equipped to help you find answers to your problems.  Although I don't personally know what these answers are, I do know that you know yourself better than anyone else does.  It is my job to help you discover which answers work best for you, and then to help you make successful use of them.  Change is a constant in life, so it is necessary that we be flexible-minded, willing to try new ideas and new behaviors that better serve today's situations and our ever changing needs. Yesterday's solutions cannot provide the answers to our problems today. But, like the brilliant inventor, Thomas Edison, we too, can benefit from seeing which roads have failed to lead us to our intended goals.  The secret is to use this knowledge to save ourselves a lot of heartache and wasted effort by pointing us in a new direction.  Relying on the awesome powers of your own mind, both its conscious and its other-than-conscious aspects, is more important now than ever.  The chaotic, current world situation offers you a splendid opportunity to invent a new, improved reality for yourself at a time of profound change and unlimited alternative possibilities.

You may want to think of me as a guide whose job it is to help you successfully move through unfamiliar territory to get to where you want to go.  I know that it is possible for you to change your reality for the better and I know how to help you do this. The power to change your mind and your life is your birthright.  Now is the time to "Re-Mind" Yourself that you can make good use of your inherent resources for positive change.
